The WNMU Softball Complex is an upgrade to the existing softball field at WNMU, along with the addition of a fully functional pressbox with a filming platform, public restrooms, and new dugouts. The project scope includes a new field, bleacher seating for 300 attendees, site electrical and power/data upgrades, and a new press box and filming platform.

An early work package was developed and incorporated on the WNMU Softball Complex. The early work package was discussed and confirmed between Owner and A/E team early in the design process. To achieve a compressed schedule and ensure the facility was available for practice without any interruptions, Phase 1 was strategically constructed during the off-season and consisted of the minimum requirements necessary for a functional field and was completed before the opening home game. Phase 1 work included replacing the softball field, dugouts, fences, backstops, and lighting. Phase 2 (a new building with a pressbox, filming platform, restrooms, and a structure for a new scoreboard) was under design phase during construction of Phase 1.
