The masterplan for the Rio Bravo Senior Meal Site focuses on two phases: Phae 1 - the reconfiguration of current spaces and renovation to enhance interior flexibility and Phase 2 - a new, approx 3,400SF building along with exterior improvements including a “porch” space that faces a future park to the South and public right of way to the West, highlighting the existing building's peremeance and visiblity along with a new, separate main entry.

Like the existing Senior Meal Site building and neighboring South Valley Library, the street side portion of the building is kept low, with the second level occurring along the acequia and with Sandia/Manzano views. As requested by the county, the new addition does not touch the existing building, but has an implied connection via “The Loop” - a dynamic circulation / wayfinding route that knits existing and new spaces together, inside and out.
